I have never tried to mount the RR Micro matte box directly to the EX1 lens. I placed the RR matte box next to my Letus rig and it does appear that it will hit the mic/lcd. I recommend you ask the people at Red Rock. They might have a solution for this. Or you could just copy my setup and buy a Letus Elite! The matte box works great with the prime lenses.
