Manuel Guerrero Mora ProjectI have just returned from Whitewater, Wisconsin and Chicago, Illinois after 9 days of shooting two different projects for the same client. I worked on a Mike Royko film in Wisconsin and a project with a celebrated and very talented painter from Pasto Columbia, Manuel Guerrero Mora. In the next few days I will be editing the XDCAM Letus video that I shot in Wisconsin and Illinois into three short films for the Art-Luis website. These films will show just how talented and unique this artist is and his remarkable attention to light, reflections and color in his paintings.
The second film I am editing will be called “Chicago Light”. This short subject will include the beauty and majestic quality of this great American city. From rain, to overcast gray to bring sunny reflections, the charm of this urban landscape will help you understand why Manuel was drawn to sketch and paint here. The third and final installment I will be cutting together will be called “Carsons Gallery”. Carsons is a restaurant in downtown Chicago and they are very famous for their tender ribs and excellent food. In fact, the ribs were brought aboard Air Force One in a recent presidential visit! The TV Food Network has shot here and the eatery is a popular tourist destination. This film will showcase the many Manuel paintings that are on display in the restaurant as people enjoy their stay and the BBQ sauce! Glad your cameras didn’t blow away in the windy city. I love Chicago, I wish some of Boston’s public parks projects (Rose Kennedy Greenway) could compare to Chicago’s (Millennium Park)
@Craig: I agree, so far, I am not impressed with the Greenway. I heard that they cannot even plant certain trees in the park because there is not enough dirt covering the highway tunnels!
That chrome bean in Chicago’s Millennium Park was awesome. I will post a video from that park in about a week.
