Last year, I directed the photography on a DVD concert project with the Dropkick Murphys – Live on Lansdowne. We shot the seven shows in six days around St. Patrick’s Day at the House of Blues, in Boston Massachusetts. I was hired by a good client of mine out of Rhode Island, Cox Communications, to DP a short spot for the Newport Skating Center. I had a few rough storyboard emailed to me and I was asked to shoot the project using my EX1, Letus Ultimate and my PVC skateboard dolly system. We [...] I shot with the Sony EX1 and Letus Ultimate a few days ago for a shoot promoting the New England Sports Network’s NHL hockey TV show called “The Instigators”. This is my first attempt at shooting a music video. I did not see the story boards or visit the shooting locations until the day of the shoot. The entire thing was shot within two blocks of the Worcester Union Train Station (Massachusetts) in 8 hours. I was planning on using the Sony PMW-EX1 and [...] I will be working something new into my schedule, shooting stock footage for Digital Juice. Last Friday night I shot from 7pm to 5am in Worcester, Massachusetts with the Canon 5dmk2. I was working on a music video and shooting it guerrilla film style in available light. I used a Glidecam and shot most of it handheld. This production was heavily preplanned and we had full cooperation of the city [...] So let me get this straight, this camera takes digital photographs at 21.1 MP? I thought is was a video camera!
