UPDATE: January 6, 2010 – Download 1080p version of “One Week at Newfound Lake” at bottom of this page. I was going crazy, waiting in my idling carbon monoxide filled car, working on my astro-timelapse project. It was -18C or -1F outside, I can’t take that kind of cold. You see, to shoot timelapses, you must be patient. Or at least find something to edit while the earth rotates….very slowly. Hey, I’m back on the grid for a minute borrowing someone’s wireless… Currently, I am working on a few timelapse projects with the Canon 5dmk2. One of them is capturing the four seasons in New England from different fixed locations. This is not a new idea, it has been done before. But I might be one of the first to use an as-seen-on-tv invention to make a [...] I have been having a lot of fun lately. “Late” being the key word. And I am working on a new project. Two days ago, I was on the side of Mt Moosilauke in Benton New Hampshire looking for a place to setup a panning Canon 5dmk2 timelapse. I was very surprised and unprepared for the extreme winter conditions near the summit. It was mid October! How could there be a foot of snow and tons of [...] I am gearing up for a big job this weekend. Take a look at the gear I will be using! How am I going to [...] I will be testing a demo version of the ContourHD “wearable” HD video camera. But I have not received it yet from the company. I have a shoot this weekend with a World Cup downhill mountain biker. So I had to come up with something! This is my first attempt at shooting a music video. I did not see the story boards or visit the shooting locations until the day of the shoot. The entire thing was shot within two blocks of the Worcester Union Train Station (Massachusetts) in 8 hours.
