Aquarium
I am working with an aquarium shop shooting footage for possible future commercials to promote the business. I am using the Sony PMW-EX1 with the Letus Extreme 35mm lens adapter. I grabbed a few shots off the time line and set them to music. All of these shots were color graded with Magic Bullet Looks and I used a 55mm f2.8 Nikon macro lens on the Letus. I shot everything in 720p at 60 frames per second. I used a Vinten Vision 3 tripod. TRT: 1 minutes 44 seconds Production Credits Shot and Edited by: Special Thanks To: 6 comments to Aquarium |

That was really cool — the lighting was great considering it was in a store (of course the f/2.8 doesn’t hurt). Did you add lighting of your own?
@Craig:
The last shot of the fish (just before the turtle) was done with a flashlight! Also, I used the flashlight to get those cool reflections on the right side of the turtle’s head. Very dramatic, looks like the turtle just killed something…

Tom,
Great footage. By the way, where do you get your audio tracks. They work so well with your videos.
thanks

@Mike Lindberg:
I use a lot of motion picture sound tracks and royal-free music from Jamendo. Their site is located at http://www.jamendo.com/en/
Thanks!
hey tom — great stuff as always. when shooting the aquariums, did you put the camera lens right up on the glass, or were you backed off, and just zoomed in?
very creative with the flashlight btw…
take care man.
chris.
@christopher h.:
The macro lens is right up against the glass of the tank. This limits reflection and glare.
